【2017】

This work was made to a hanging scroll for the first time, and it was my first and last work to show to my grandmother before she passed away.
While spreading the hanging scroll in the hospital room I talked about Buddhist paintings and I tearfully made a certain promise to her.
My grandmother's last face was very calm and beautiful, so my feelings about death changed a lot.
War experiences as a young child, life as a woman, feelings for longevity. I was made to think deeply about the lives of those who were sacrificed from the land of Okinawa.
My grandmother was a respected woman who taught me important things before she left this world.
